Lauren Book was first elected to the Florida Senate in 2016 and reelected in 2022, and currently serves as the current Minority Leader. She has consistently demonstrated her commitment to fighting against the growing far-right influence in Tallahassee.

Wesley brings a diverse perspective to the Equality Florida team, having managed Democratic and Republican campaign programs throughout the country. He brings extensive experience as a Grassroots Coordinator and a Regional Director to the Equality Florida field team. As a former aide in the Florida House of Representatives he oversaw priority policy topics and putting constituents' needs first.
