In 1829 Margaret “Peggy” Timberlake married US Senator John Eaton. But when the wives of high profile Washington DC elites find her behavior unacceptable, they embark on a crusade to shun her which leads to long lasting political challenges for Andrew Jackson’s cabinet.</p>
