Episode 43: Freedom is the Cure

Hillary and Tina cover former Washington House Representative Matt Shea and Birmingham Commission of Public Safety, Bull Connor.

Hillary’s Story
Attorney and radio host, Matt Shea earned a seat in the Washington State House in 2009, but when he publishes a manifesto calling for biblical war, the FBI launches an investigation that leads to accusations of domestic terrorism.

Tina’s Story
Bull Connor served as a member of the Alabama House of Representatives, Birmingham Commissioner of Public Safety, and the President of the Alabama Public Service Commission.
But, when he continually denied rights to blacks, worked to further disenfranchise minority communities, and encouraged police brutality, he proved himself to be the embodiment of racism.
